As of May 1, 2026, this Website is under construction, so forgive what might be an unpolished experience! We hope to pilot in July 2026, and go live before Winter.

We are a small team of Faith leaders in Arvada, Co, and our mission is:

To improve communication and collaboration in the Faith Community in Arvada so that we may better serve the unhoused

We got our start at a Faith leaders meeting at Arvada City Hall on February 19, 2026. 3 teams were formed in that meeting:

• Case Management - find more case managers and improve efficiency for those we have
• Shelter - find ways to improve quantity and quality of sheltering options, both short- and long-term
• Teamwork - improve interfaith communication and collaboration

We are that last team, and we think that even though the faith community here in Arvada is really active in serving the homeless, we have a ton of untapped potential.

The Purpose of this Website

ServetheUnhoused.org is initially designed to help connect volunteers with those who need them. We're singularly focused on volunteer work related to the unhoused. There are lots of sites that provide a much wider variety of volunteer opportunities (alittlehelp.org, justserve.org to name a couple).

Volunteers - Set it and Forget it

Our model is a little different from what we've seen on other volunteer sites. Here you can identify the things you want to do, and then you'll get notified when any of the many organizations in Arvada ask for volunteers in one of the areas you selected. Instead of having to look for opportunities, they'll come to you!

Organizers - we'll collect lots of volunteers!

We're getting dialed into the faith organizations in Arvada. They send people to this site to sign up for the kinds of things you need. We manage the list of folks from across all faiths as well as the secular public. And we encourage folks to spread the word, so friends and family hear about us too.

When it comes time for your event, post here and we'll reach out to everyone who's indicated interest in that activity. We track who responds and let you keep up with the response rate. You'll know just where you stand on your volunteer requirements.
